The Scope

The Flowers and Gifts store bring in a lot of traffic and it is high in demand during certain occasions like Mother’s/Father’s Day, Valentines, Thanksgiving, and so on.

I was in charge of creating a seamless experience where we host 1800Flowers and FTD full catalog on our platform. Users will browse all the available products and go through the whole purchase cycle without leaving the site. The experience helped retain the customers and cross-selling by introducing them to other relevant categories like Restaurant Certificates, Travel and Gift Cards.

Challenges

Create a seamless experience for a user to find the product and make the purchase without any hassles.

Research

As we have a full catalog for 1800Flowers and FTD, mostly connected with our merchant contacts and understand the business.

Design and Execute

Since we have multiple merchants hosting their products, I created a hybrid experience that covered all the important aspects and worked with engineers closely for proper execution.
